3 New Casual Dining Spots to Visit in London

New and exciting food spots are constantly popping up around London providing fresh inspiration and insight into the hospitality industry. Here are 3 of London’s newest and finest casual dining spots for you to visit:

1) Chai Thali

(19 Mandela Street, Camden, London NW1 0DU)

Chai Thali is one of Camden’s newest and coolest food spots serving up authentic Indian street food and inventive cocktails. The Indian restaurant boasts of an interior design inspired by the culture of India’s many districts and regions, evident through named communal booths and striking décor.

Chai Thali is an all-day establishment with a menu catering for brunch and dinner trade. Notable dishes include the Scrambled Egg Masala and Dhaaba Murg chicken curry. The drinks menu stretches from Indian-style cocktails such as Chali Thali Mary to the latest hip beverage – turmeric latte.


2) Wonderbunz

(Hammersmith Broadway Shopping Centre, London, W6 9QH)

Wonderbunz is the latest grab-and-go food concept to arrive in Hammersmith, serving up steamed buns and pies inspired by Malaysian and Singaporean cuisine.  Wonderbunz interior design focuses on a minimal look inspired by the industrial trend featuring warm greys and dark woods, accented by large yellow pendant lamps. For convenience, the new Asian speciality concept utilises a number of self-service stations and also offers a ‘click-and-collect’ service.

Wonderbunz main offering is their fluffy steamed buns with a number of exotic fillings including Chicken Char Siu and Spicy Beef Rendang. Alternatively, guests can also choose from a selection of noodles, salads and rice pots.


3) Yard Sale Pizza

(15 Hoe Street, Walthamstow, London E17 4SD)

Voted as Time Out’s ‘Most Loved Restaurant’ in 2016, Yard Sale Pizza is known for their top quality stone-baked pizza and has recently opened their third site in Walthamstow, east London. The Walthamstow site pays reverence to its previous purpose as a workshop and has retained beautifully-crafted stained glass windows. Seating is available both indoors and outdoors accommodating for 50 persons in total.

Yard Sale Pizza cater to dine-in and delivery trade, with a menu hosting the usual classics from margherita to pepperoni. However, those looking for a more unique offering can opt for the specials which feature more exotic ingredients including chorizo, lime, avocado and spinach.
